“The book of nature has no beginning, as it has no end. Open this book where you will, and at any period in your life. If you have the desire to acquire knowledge you will find this book of immense interest, no matter how long or how intently you study the pages, your interest will not flag, for in nature there is no finality.”

Named after the famous Hunter turned Conservationist Sir Jim Corbett; The national park is divided into 6 main zones; Dhikala, Bijrani, Sonanadi, Jhirna, Dhela and Durgadevi. The park has a core area of almost 821.99 Square Kilometres and a buffer area of 466.32 Square Kilometres. It is located along the foothills of Himalayas in Uttarakhand & spread over the districts of Pauri, Nainital & Almora. River Ramganga, Sonanadi and Pallaen flow through the reserve giving life to more than 110 species of trees, 58 mammal species, and 580 species of birds with over 25 species of reptiles.

Visiting Corbett is an escapade I look forward all the time. This park has some amazing vibes that lure me into its mystical world. No amount of money can give me happiness that Corbett has in store for me. This is the one visit I will never miss for anything or for that matter anyone in this wide world. The enchanting world of forest is second to none; the peace and solitude that I get here is incomparable. The ever welcoming flora and fauna is a the highlight of this place be it winter or summer. No wonder Jim Corbett was in love with it and made this part of the world his home. For they say “Home is where your heart is”.

The trees form an amazing canopy throughout our path as if they are standing to welcome us in to their mystical world. A world which connects us to Mother Nature without any 3G/4G network as the connection is through the heart & mind. This is the world in which one can find ownself; find the deeper meaning of life; find happiness in smallest of things. The wind blows like a naughty child soothing the mind and body. The free flowing Ramganga River reminds us that life is to keep moving on and not stand still enjoying the sights that lie on its banks. It has become a cliche that Jungles are synonymous to tigers. This place breaks the cliche; keep an open heart & mind; you will start to believe that jungles are not just tigers; they are more than tigers. This place offers you something new. The songs of a lone Robin perched up somewhere in the trees or the roars of a tiger camouflaged in the grasslands; trumpets of the tusker or the naughtiness of the monkeys; this place has it all.
